I’m entering this photo in a competition about zen spaces from the Curious Emporium – (the prizes look awesome) – you should post yours too 🙂
This is the cabin we put up last year. i spend loads of time in it writing music. When the trees all have their leaves on it feels like I’m in a forest clearing – you wouldn’t know it’s in the middle of a town.
Just in the bit of garden you can see there are apple trees, a cherry tree, a peach tree, a plum tree, a ginko tree and a fig plant, hops, a baby grape vine, curry plant, sage, rosemary and chives. I have forgetmenots and dandelions growing as weeds but they’re too pretty to pull up. There’s a baby monkeypuzzle tree growing behind the curry plant – next year it should be big enough to see 🙂
I’m growing the big apple tree into an arch and behind there is a fire pit 🙂
Further up the garden there’s lavender and mint and dill and fennel, oregano, thyme, hyssop, eucalyptus, and mature grapes and violets and rhubarb and poppies.
When we moved in 4 years ago, it was just grass and primroses and a little falling down shed. I am really happy with how it is now. Imagine how good it’ll be when the palm trees are big 🙂
